Our friend Dr. Buck Willis alerted us to the upcoming Biplane Fly-in at San Marcos Muni Airport (KHYI) in San Marcos, TX on March 27. They will have a lunchtime cookout by the CAF Hangar and airframe competitions including best vintage restoration, best new experimental bipe, biplane from furthest distance, oldest biplane, and more. They will also have vintage warbird rides available! Please RSVP your reservations to fly in the B-25 bomber ‘Yellow Rose’ and/or a T-6 Texan! They also ask that you email them so they can get a head count for the Marinated Fajitas (now, if that doesn’t get a biplane enthusiast excited, nothing will!)
