Description

These are additional drawings required to build the advanced wing and aileron system found on the Pitts S1-SS (SS = “Super Stinker” variant). These are the plans ONLY for the wings, which will mount onto any standard S1-C fuselage/cabane setup without much trouble, so long as it was built according to the plans (it will work on some other versions as well). Many S1 owners build a set of S1-SS wings while they continue to fly on their standard S1-C wings… this allows you to easily boost your plane’s performance without having to remove it from service, except while you actually swap out the wings.

NOTE: These are supplemental plans for the S1-SS wings ONLY. If you are building an S1-SS from scratch and are not retrofitting a set of S1-SS wings onto an existing S1 fuselage, then you will also need to purchase the Updated S1-C plans (CAD version) in order to build the rest of the airplane. If you are retrofitting a new set of S1-SS wings to an existing, standard S1 airframe, you normally won’t require the full set of S1-C plans to do so, though the plan set is recommended for all S1 owners for use as a reference.
