Description

The Pitts S1 Standard fuselage assembly is a finished structural welded fuselage. This is the long fuselage version popularly known as the “S1-S” fuselage, which is common to the S1-C, S1-D, S1-SS and S1-S. The following items are finished:

  • Engine mount;
  • All structural welding finished;
  • Landing gear (bungee style as per plans);
  • Cabane;
  • Tail surfaces including trim/servo tabs;
  • Flight controls;
  • Seat;
  • Rudder pedals;
  • Turtledeck mounts (ready for turtledeck installation);
  • Protective coating/sealant;
  • Other options available upon request.

The primary items remaining for installation are some non-structural details (some cockpit internal details, etc.). We will thoroughly discuss with the customer such variables as the type of fuselage protective coatings that are available, what options to add or delete to the fuselage assembly, etc. In addition, due to the potentially significant expense involved with crating and shipping a completed fuselage, we are very flexible on delivery options and work hard to find the most economical and logical delivery arrangements possible.
