The Pitts Model 14 has been generating a great deal of interest, even late on a dark and stormy night. Wednesday evening was nice and cool, and one of our Aircraft Shapes guys decided to roll out his sleeping bag in the Steen tent instead of going back to the house. Our camp looked dark and deserted. Around 10 pm, as a thunder storm approached, he heard voices and saw a flashlight playing on the tent. Two guys were taking measurements on the prototype Model 14 fuselage – one driving the tape measure and calling out numbers and the other writing things down! He found this REALLY funny, (so do we… – ed), especially since he overheard the whole conversation. Come back in the daylight guys and we’ll gladly show you the prints..
